Tobias Berg’s Standout Debut at Greenhouse Stockholm

It’s not often that a debut collection grabs my attention quite like this one, but Norwegian designer Tobias Berg has managed it. With his first solo exhibition he won the Best in Show Award in Greenhouse at Stockholm Furniture Fair 2025. Deservedly so, as his collection is so refined and market-ready that we’re sure to hear a lot more from him in the years to come. Even before the fair began, he secured a production deal, proving the strength of his vision – where architecture, functionality, and material honesty converge.

His collection features four signature pieces that showcase his unique approach to design. The 10:05 Lounge Chair combines technical precision and aluminum construction, softened by luxurious fabric options. The Tilt Chair is a subtly angled oak design that merges Scandinavian craftsmanship with timeless elegance. The Stillas Armchair, inspired by scaffolding structures, balances open geometric forms with the warmth of walnut. Lastly, the Alu is a modular aluminum shelving system that embraces minimalism and adaptability.

Berg’s rapid success highlights his deep understanding of form and materiality. Through his partnership with Lunnheim, his designs will soon be available, marking the start of a promising journey in the international design scene.
