My 5 Favourite Glass Carafes

It’s a common piece of advice – you should drink six to eight glasses of water every day. This is a challenge, but it’s much more fun with one of those beautiful glass carafes.

1.) Menu’s Bottle Carafe 1.4L is part of a series inspired by the silhouettes of classic vessels such as the milk bottle. While honouring the past, Bottle Carafe services modern requirements, with a stylish brass lid to keep liquids fresh. Use to cool drinks in the fridge or to keep wine for another day. Available here.

2.)The mouth blown genuine crystal glass carafe by Louise Roe Copenhagen is manufactured in the Czech Republic where they have a well known tradition for this genuine kind of crystal production. Available here.

3.)Mouth-blown into the mould, the practical and beautiful Ripple Carafe by Ferm Living features a rippled design for a contemporary look.

4.) With the Hammershøi tableware, Kähler introduces glass as a material, which together with the ceramic and oak elements creates a complete Nordic look. The heaviness of the ceramic is complemented by the thin glass and creates a tie between the inspiring raw materials of Scandinavian nature. This large Hammershøi Carafe is adorned with a beautiful, anthracite-coloured lid, which is easy to open and close.

5.) One of the designs of ceramist Axel Brüel was the sleek and multifunctional AB/C Pitcher for Lyngby Porcelain. In 2015 his daughter, Charlotte Brüel, designed a very special glass called Tumbler that fits perfectly with her father’s design. Available here.
