«Les Filles Qui Lisent Sont Plus Sexy» – these words are written in bold letters on the t-shirts of a new French label to watch: Proêmes de Paris. The word Proême comes from the contraction of two French words « PRO(se) » and « (po)ÈME », prose and poetry melted into one word. A label which is strongly influenced by literature, philosophy and all the matters related to word construction, etymology and semantic. To the founders Marion Gauban Cammas and Ulysse Meridjen there’s a direct relation between fashion and letter subject, Paris and literature. I can’t wait for more poetic collections to come!
