On my radar

On my radar:

1.) The sustainable kitchens and furniture by Design studio Ask og Eng are all made of bamboo. It’s for its functionality, sustainability and material effeciency that the duo chose bamboo to be their material of choice. In their newly launched webshop you can shop their A collection, a selection of kitchen doors for your IKEA cabinets. Via The Design Chaser

2.) News from &tradition! Jaime Hayon’s Catch Chair has been transformed into a leisure chair version – The Catch Lounge Chair introduces a higher back and an elongated seat in a singular shell supported by a metal armature.

3.) Bored of your chairs? Here comes the most soulful home textile innovation in years! Ragamuf is a stretchy chair rug which fits different chairs. Each piece is unique, art of its maker and made by hand. And it’s also a good thing: Ragamuf employes Syrian refugee women residing in Turkey. Via Sight Unseen.

4.) You already might know Copenhagen based Studio Teresa Arns for her designs for Menu (remember the Turning Table or her newest design, the Echasse Vase). I’m madly in love with this prototype: the Nova Bench with a simple black steel construction, which forms the base for a black stained wooden plate and a velvet cushion. The wooden plate is held by two bend metal arcs, which are referring to classic Art Deco forms. Via The Design Chaser
