A Cool and Sleek Australian Apartment

Dear Scandies, don’t get me wrong, I still love your style but recently I grew a bit tired of all those super cozy, super beige apartments. No wonder that the pictures of this sleek apartment of Australian photographer Sean Fennessy and his wife, stylist and graphic designer Jess Lillico stroke a chord with me.

Despite its sleekness, their home has an easy-going fresh vibe. It is filled with furniture and artwork inspired by shoots the couple have worked on, and friends they have worked with. My highlight is definitely the floating timber bench in the living room comissioned by Melbourne Table Co., a local furniture design studio which also made the beautiful wooden bedhead. Neither will you find any lush velvet details nor any lambskins in this home – it’s just not necessary, it’s probably the light that makes it so liveable. Via The Design Files
