Hotel âme is a new hotel in the cultural heart of Rotterdam, around the corner from the bustling Witte de Withstraat and the beautiful green museum park. Housed in a monumental building from 1867 with a beautiful architectural soul this place is designed with passion for the conscious and modern traveller.
Hotel âme is located in a beautiful building with a neoclassical façade, with a total of five floors including the attic and the basement. The ground, the first and the second floor formed the most important floors of the building and contained the most beautiful living areas, with details such as the immense high ceiling with ornaments in Art Nouveau style, beautiful fireplaces, and paneling. The impressive staircase with the round shaped staircase steps, handrails and profiled cast iron balusters.
The property was successively used in the past as a residence, bridge club and several restaurants (including a Greek, American, Chinese and French restaurants). After that, it was empty for a while, until now it became a contemporary hotel with a total of 14 rooms, a café and a concept store. The original layout was kept and where possible, all the authentic details have been restored – combined with bespoke interior with Japanese and Scandinavian influences.
All 14 rooms are designed for comfort with passion and attention to detail for the modern traveller. Because of the historical building and the respect for it, all types of rooms are slightly different, but having their own personal feel. The beautiful lighting and outlook creates a visual balance that calms the senses, and a carefully selected Coco-Mat bed is welcoming guests for a sleeping-on-nature experience with a complimentary pillow menu.
