It’s a Match – Reform’s Colourful Match Kitchen in an Apartment in Berlin Kreuzberg

Danish kitchen specialists Reform are wowing me with their latest project – a colourful kitchen in Berlin Kreuzberg, in which the playful, bright MATCH design by Muller Van Severen oozes good vibes and optimism.

The apartment’s owners opted for a colourful kitchen in a rather small space. At first they were thinking to go for a soothing style and all-natural materials like stone and wood, but then something just clicked and they wanted to do something special and less serious and it was a match from the first sight with Muller Van Severen’s design. For the countertop they mixed colourful plastic material with noble Italian marble stone. There’s a certain charm to this game of old and new; noble and humble, artistic and utilitarian.

Muller Van Severen created the MATCH kitchen design for Reform as a design that plays with conventions and stimulates the imagination. Made durable and wax-like polyethylene traditionally used in cutting boards, the fronts are available in six striking, strong colours. Combined with a marble worktop or brass handles, the result is an inspiring, contrasting and unique look in any kitchen space, which is as tough and resilient as it is extraordinary and inspiring.
