On my radar #61

1.) I’ve got (another) lamp crush – Theresa Schmalenberg’s Fold Tablelamp, inspired by the simple shape of a party-fan. By unfolding and placing the paper shade into the aluminium stand the table lamp enhances this pleasant yet playful interaction between subject and object. The choice of different coloured paper and powder coatings or anodisation for the aluminium base gives the chance to find its own individual version. Found via Nordic Design.

2.) Everyone is talking about the Bottega Veneta Pouch Bag these days, but to be honest – it’s not a bargain, right? But no need to be sad, as long as you are read my blog, I’ll provide you with the best finds ;). The Claudette from Portuguese brand Looks Like Summer is a soft leather crossbody clutch which won’t break your bank and is just as beautiful!

PS: It has been brought to my attention that the label might be Portuguese but the bags are produced in and shipped from China. I’m not the one to judge, I just like to stay transparent.

3.) Beautiful news from Muuto! The Ridge Vase presents a new way to display flowers through its sculptural expression along with an artful character when not in use. There are two versions available, a Terracotta version and an offf-whit version which is made from earthenware, both glazed on the inside and raw on the outside.

4.) I really like the lively structure of clay colour on walls, because it’s so visible and tangible. Plus: clay colours provide a much better indoor climate! Xenia Rosengart, owner of the Hamburg based concept store Minimarkt has launched a label with her own eco-certified clay colours. nen-do colours are sustainable, produced in Germany and no artificial pigments are contained. The colours come in 14 different shades, my favourite is “Summer Skin” – and yours?
