Once again I’m head over heels for Teatum Jones. Their SS 2012 collection was inspired by the “sentimental perfection of 1950’s American suburbia and explores the darker side of life behind the sugary pastel coloured walls.” Teatum Jones continues the use of narrative print to portray a woman’s escapism desires and mixes it with braille-like fabrics in blush pink and lilac taupe. The fascination of the collection lies in the contrast of draped and maxi dresses (some with abstract attached suit jackets) and floating silk with buttery soft leather and embossed snake skins.
