Danish Can Family is a family of four (father Martin, mother Stine and their two daughters Sofia and Ida) selling unique art, ceramic objects and exquisite old original vinyl records in their Copenhagen store (and online). The four are living a life filled with oddities, a “cornucopia of color and form, music and magic”. Working as a family and creative force, they are always staying curious and trying new things.
I fell for their portrait series “Taking A Break” where Stine Maria Aalykke challenges contemplation and a crucial presence by portraying a simple moment, a person, a feeling – nothing more, nothing less. The series consists of 10 portraits in limited edition in 4 sizes, all numbered and signed.
