For those who haven’t heard of Norwegian design studio Ask ok eng yet – the studio was founded early 2016 by Kine Ask Stenersen and Kristoffer Eng after having built several sustainable kitchens and furniture for themselves over a number of years. Their favourite material is bamboo, as it is not only a very beautiful material of high quality and durability, but also a sustainable choice. Bamboo grows faster than trees (up to a meter per day) without using any pesticides, herbicides or artificial fertilizers.
For their latest project, a home at St. Hanshaugen, Ask ok eng did both – the kitchen and the bathroom furniture. The kitchen was designed using their grain bamboo and E series. The bathrooms are also from the E collection, but with a Snow finish for a more delicate and soft finish.
