Menu’s new SS2018 collection is here and I’m in awe. Let’s have a closer look at my favourite items…
The Carrie LED Lamp is very versatile, it can be easily used as a bedside lamp, in the office (it comes with a convenient USB charger too) or as an alternative to candles on the dining table. This season Menu is adding a burned red and an olive shade shade to its colour palette, giving an all-time favourite a chic update.
The Afteroom Counter & Bar Chair Plus pays homage to functionalism and the Bauhaus school of art. A new bar version has now been added to the Afteroom Chair family. It now boasts the additional feature of a wider backrest and a luxurious upholstering of both seat and backrest.
The Harbour Chair is ideal for anything from restaurants, conferences, offices, or in the comfort of one’s own home. A hybrid space that mixes office, showroom, café, co-working and event space in One, Menu Space required a chair that could suit a range of purposes.
The Synnes Dining Chair receives a revival, featuring a newly upholstered version that’s crafted to the highest standards, utilising premium textiles. A modern take on the traditional dining chair, the new version sees the turned wooden legs replaced with tubular steel, while upholstered fabric provides a touch of softness. Visually lighter than the original, the updated Synnes Dining Chair puts the emphasis on cushioned comfort, elevating a comfortable chair to higher heights without sacrificing its visual authenticity.
The wall socket is often a hidden element of the home, as it is widely deemed as unattractive. The Douwes Lamp & Socket turns the unattractive notion of a wall socket on its head, transforming something seemingly displeasing to look at into something beautiful. Sustainably-produced in porcelain and now available in a light grey hue that also matches the colour of the electrical wire, the hanging lamp and socket is made by hand in the Netherlands.
The Mindum Shoe Horn designed by Nick Ross is ideal to be hung on a wall and comfortable to hold and use.
