Founded in 2020 RiRa is a new destination for extremely cheering contemporary home objects from the Low Countries. RiRa was born during Amsterdam’s first lockdown, when stylist Gijsje Ribbens and fashion agent Bart Ramakers convened for socially distanced walks in their tracksuits. Both missed the fashion week buzz of their “normal” lives, realizing there was nowhere to go for an interior purchase that would bring the same joy as a sequin dress or a pink handbag. So Gijsje and Bart started to build an e-commerce platform where design is curated with a fashion eye.
RiRa’s designer pieces are developed and manufactured in the Netherlands and Belgium by the most esteemed creative minds working today. The platform launches with an edit of propositions from three leading design world talents.
Glaze Mirrors by Sabine Marcelis
Wallpaper* Designer of the Year 2020 Sabine Marcelis presents an all-new and affordable(!) range of her masterpiece mirrors. They are available in 3 sizes and 4 colour-ways, each splashed by hand in The Netherlands. This mirror is produced in an edition of 500 and exclusively available at RiRa.
Liquidish Bowls by Vincent de Rijk
Vincent de Rijk, the master of expoy, has made lustrous, shallow bowls in a range of beautiful hypnotising colours and opacities. The bowls are available in 3 sizes and 9 different colours. It’s the perfect bowl to keep all life necessities and exclusively produced for RiRa.
Pillow Chair by Muller Van Severen x Kassl Editions
Industrial design duo Muller Van Severen have fashioned a modular Pillow Chair together with KASSL Editions. Developed using the signature KASSL white, black and camel oil fabrics by Limonta, the chair resembles multiple of KASSL Editions signature Pillow bags puzzled together to evoke and create a soft yet bold seating area. The Pillow Chair itself can be stand alone or can be paired as a sofa for a strong visual impact.
