Virginia Sin Ceramics

Today I’m loving the unique ceramics by Virginia Sin, a Brooklyn-based multi-disciplinary designer. Working to continually broaden her design horizons, Virginia has focused her recent attention on redefining ceramic coils, translating her graphic designs into weave structures and challenging the limitations of clay in the lighting industry, in hopes to bring some extra warmth into the world.

Her Fruit Bowls are my favourite item, perfect for fruit that needs to breathe. Each is handmade and slightly unique. And for a little extra magic, drape a tea towel over the bowl and voila: you’ve got a bread basket!

The latest addition to her product range are the Table Lamps which are named after the location’s specific terrain while the light bulb represents the position of the sun (for example the Rolling Hills Table Lamp is named after Rolling Hills, California, a town Virginia grew up next to).
